One of the reasons of writing this blog everyday is to model for the students at Cairn University's School of Music a career in music and production. It is not enough to just learn the skill on your instrument or hone the talent of your voice. (In fact, it never has been enough. That's a story and blog post for another time.)
Covid has brought into stark relief the need for musicians and artists to be trained and skilled in technology.
Musicians need to be versatile and able to use technology to promote themselves and build businesses that will sustain their craft.
Don't be scared. If you have learned your instrument through years of discipline, learning technology is a piece of cake. In fact, you need to be a musician to use technology in a musical and then compelling way. Below is an offer from me to help you in this journey.
Today at Riverstone Church, we are installing a livestream system that will serve us well when we gather together after the Covid restrictions. We will be able to build off the system when needed.
A key component of this setup is Blackmagic's Atem Mini. I love this product. It is versatile, user friendly and pure quality.

If you are a student, church or musician that needs help in getting your livestream going, send me a DM and I can see if I can help. I can offer personal coaching or setup advice.
We plan on offering webinars and online courses this late summer and fall to help you.
